Our Journey
2014 - Conceptual Spark
Founded as Q-Tech Game Studios, two individuals with a shared vision of immersive storytelling, player-driven experiences, and meaningful world-building laid the foundation for what was to come.
2015 - Q-Tech Game Studios Launches the First Game
Released as a tycoon-style game, Star Trader was launched on Facebook. The game amassed over 50,000 players within the first month and grew in popularity due to fair moderation and player support options.
2016 - Studio Rename
Q-Tech Game Studios was later renamed to Mistflux Entertainment. Star Trader remains popular.
2017 - Major Rebrand
Mistflux Entertainment becomes Mistflux Games to better reflect the vision of the founders. At the same time, despite remaining popular, Star Trader announces a shut-down at the beginning of 2018. The concept for The Tau Experiment begins development as a first-person interactive adventure.
2018 to 2023 - Expanding the Team
While initial development was slow, the pace became much quicker once core gameplay was established. Later on in 2023, Mistflux Games LLC was founded with the main headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
2024 - Crossing the Pond
Mistflux Games LLC remains in Pennsylvania, US to manage North American operations, whilst the headquarters moved to London, United Kingdom. At the same time, Mistflux Games Ltd. was founded to manage global operations. The Tau Experiment's cinematic trailer was launched and partners were being recruited.
2025 and beyond - Looking to the Future
The future is looking bright for Mistflux Games! We will continue to innovate, iterate, and build world-class adventures that are easy to pick up, but difficult to master. We pride ourselves on our games' replayability value and that's at the forefront of everything we do.
